The bottom is up pretty far- I just received it today. Is that how it is supposed to be?

Answer:

I actually took a picture to show you how far up mine was, but it won’t let me download it. Mine was approximately an inch up, which is normal because I have used several of these in the past. It lasts a long time, though! I love this product!

I do not know. But my son loves this. He had thick straight hair and it keeps it in place without feeling like there is product in his hair.
